Movember: Raising Awareness for Prostate Cancer

In this video from Philip Bloom shared in 2012, Philip explains why he takes part in Movember each year. Movember or No-Shave November is an initiative to help raise awareness of men’s health and in particular, prostate cancer.

Find out more about No-Shave November and how it aims to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

Philip talks candidly about how he has lost many friends and family members to various cancers over the years, including the loss of his beloved grandfather who died from prostate cancer. Philip’s mom Francine shares her father’s story: he served in the French military during the second world war, and sadly, Philip’s grandfather’s prostate cancer was not treated in time and the disease had metastasized into his bones.

Dr. Watson explains how early detection of prostate cancer can save lives.
