If you’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer you’re probably thinking about the various treatment options. In this video from the Robotic Prostate Surgery Center shared in November 2015, Dr. David Samadi talks about the differences between surgery and radiation therapy, and why he feels surgery is a better option.
Dr. Samadi explains that robotic surgery will remove the entire prostate and with it, the cancer. He describes how surgery will allow doctors to accurately stage the cancer, find out the Gleason score, and whether the cancer has spread. Surgery also allows for a better follow-up procedure and regular PSA level testing.
