Just like any other form of cancer, prostate cancer has several stages. If it is caught at an early stage it can be easily treated and cured. But because prostate cancer often does not present symptoms many men are diagnosed at a late stage when the cancer has already begun to spread outside of the prostate.
With this video shared by Prostate Cancer Live in 2013, meet Joel Nowak. He is the Director for Advocacy and Advanced Prostate Cancer Programs for the Patient Power network and is a prostate cancer survivor. Nowak made the video to help men newly diagnosed with this disease, especially men with metastatic prostate cancer. Here, he shares his story about how he dealt with his diagnosis and he gives some great advice to men who are in the same fight.
