Robert De Niro’s Journey With Prostate Cancer

Hollywood legend, Robert De Niro, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2003 following a routine PSA check-up. The Raging Bull actor was given a good prognosis because the cancer had been caught at an early stage and he went on to a full recovery a few months later.

De Niro, who was 60 at the time, decided against going public about his treatment at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, opting to keep the matter private. However, it’s believed that he reached out to fellow actor and Meet the Parents co-star Ben Stiller in 2014 for advice and to ask for the number of his physician.
