Joe Torre
The nine-time All-Star Major League Baseball player and former New York Yankees manager was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1999 at the age of 58.
Torre underwent surgery to remove his prostate and then went on to enjoy a full recovery. He joined up with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to lend his face and voice to encourage men to regularly get PSA tests and to be aware of the early symptoms of the disease. Source USA Today.
