In 2001, basketball coach Jim Boeheim was diagnosed at age 56 with prostate cancer —  the same disease that took his father’s life. He is an advocate for the non-profit organization Coaches Vs Cancer and has been the chairman for the Know Your Score campaign which encourages men over the age of 45 to have annual PSA screenings.
