8 Athletes and Coaches Who Had Prostate Cancer

Arnold Palmer

The international golfer who won 62 PGA titles had one of his biggest battles in 1997 when he faced prostate cancer. Palmer decided to fight the cancer with surgery and then followed up with radiation treatment. He went on to co-establish the Arnold Palmer Prostate Center in California. He was at strong advocate for early detection via PSA testing and annual physical checkups.

Palmer passed away Sept. 25 from cardiovascular disease at the age of 85. Source Everyday Health.
